Network Marketing Home Business – Don’t Take Failure Lying Down!

by admin on October 29, 2010

Does the possibility of failure stop you in your tracks? Do you think to yourself that one day you would love to run your own Network Marketing home business, then the little voice in your head says ‘you – as if you could have your own business; you would crash and burn’?  Do you still remember your Mother telling you that you were not clever enough to do something like that?  That you should get a job like everyone else and keep your head down? Well I’m here to tell you that you ARE good enough; that you CAN set up and run your own Network Marketing home business; that you CAN be successful at whatever you choose!  It all starts with mindset.  If you want something enough, you can change the way you think.  Get rid of that little voice in your head.  Refuse to listen to it. And stop listening to what other people tell you.  Start believing that you CAN do it.  Then decide that you WILL do it! Because failure is not an end!  Failure is a beginning.  Failure means that what you tried did not work but the great news is that you have learned something.  Now you know what NOT to do when you try again.  And do you realise that almost everyone who succeeds in business has also failed miserably in the past?!  Failure is quite simply a learning process.  So don’t let it get you down! Real failure is when you fall down and don’t get back up and try again. Real failure is giving up. And that is the only way you can fail in your Network Maketing Home Business!  By not getting up again when you fall. Because believe me, you will fall!  A Network Marketing Business is full of ups and downs, whether you run your business on or offline.  But the great thing about all these ups and downs is that you become a better person; you grow along with your business!  You learn more and more about people; what makes people tick, the different personality types, how to interact with them. And the great news about that is that you learn more from every failure that you have and eventually you begin to succeed!  One of my first mentors when I started in Network Marketing used to say to people ‘Go out and get 20 no’s!’  And those who tried that just couldn’t do it, because by the time they had 10 or so no’s, they were so good with people that they started getting yes’s!! Network Marketing Home Business Dont Take Failure Lying Down! So remember “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly” – Robert F Kennedy!!

    Hi Sue,
Never Quit … this was the advise I was given.
The only way to fail is to quit.

As you said failure is a process we all go through on our road to success.

Found your blog thanks to TSA.

    Great post!

    Cheers

Thank you Sue for that inspirational post. Failure is something I am familiar with. Thank goodness I didn’t quit! I think it was due to my stubborness and the fact that I knew the MLM business model was a solid one. Thank goodness we finally figured it out!

I loved the inspiration you shared with us Sue. I totally agree that there is no success without trial and error but the key is persistence. Keep persisting until you realize your dreams…which I see you have achieved by selling your home and traveling. Congrats by the way. You’re and inspiration for all of us.

Indeed failure is the start of any success. However, we must learn from our mistakes. Otherwise, we won’t go any further. Many people kept on doing the same things and be oblivious that what they do is wrong, and so they remain a failure. :-)

Nice, Nice. Great post. Failure is a learning process. Just some people fail more than others until they finally start getting around to seeing some success. Of course since we are dealing with real human beings the end result is unpredictable and of course your actions play a role as a business person. But I’m in this for the long haul no matter how many no’s or yes’s I get. Just compare this to dating; its no different actually. This is very inspiring SUE. I hope everyone was taking notes and get something out of this cause I know I have. Thanks for sharing

    Hey Sue,

Terrific words of inspiration! Mindset and marketing are two main principles, in my opinion, to any business success. Business is a lot like life – there are great days, not so great days, there are times you make mistakes, and times you’re brilliant … and if you set your mindset to epect these things, you’ll be prepared.

    Thank you for sharing!

    Sue,

Thank you for reat and straight to the point post. Network marketing home business is as much a mindset to push on through as any business adventure. There is going to be failures along the way. Your so correct about not seeing things to the end.

Sue how true this post is. I’ve many things the hard way in life and I could not see the way to success as attainable. It way only when I read a story called “Just Past Splat!” that I realized that my road to success is paved with the stepping stones of my Failures. Thanks for a great post.

Yes! The only way to fail at anything is to quit pursuing the end result. If we want something bad enough, we can find a way to eventually succeed. Network Marketing is no different. Are there people making fortunes in the industry? Yes! Are there people failing? Yes. The difference? Those who make it stay consistent and understand, success in any network marketing company is a 2 to 4 year plan.

Sue, I’m reminded over and over of all those Success Stories that make the most of “failures”
For those who have read Malcolm Gladwell’s “Outliers,” you will know the basic premise that to be REALLY successful, people need to put in 10,000 hours of “practice” like The Beatles, Bill Gates, and a host of others. That 10,000 hours includes lots and lots of “failures.”

Thanks for that Sue. One thing I never do is quit! I have a massive project that is underway and i am very excited about it. Almost every day I have reasons to give up, but I won’t. the reason – I believe in my heart I am onto something special. I believe when we follow our dreams, those we truly feel are right for us, we succeed, although often it is in a very different way than we set out!

    Hey Sue,
This was a great post and I agree everything about what you said. Like you said it all starts with mindset and so you can build tough skin and yet know how to become good with people. I like the last thing you said:

“! How can one learn if he never tasted failure, how can pursue more when he never tasted failure, how can you practice persistence as a virtue when you never tried again after a failure. It’s a part of our life no one comes out in this world as an achiever, everything needs constant work.
