This morning I went on Facebook and had a few new friend requests as usual.  I decided to deal them straight away.  I accepted the first two, then looked at the third one, who had written quite alot by Facebook standards.  Wow, it was from Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad amongst other things.  Doesn’t it make you realise the power of Social Media!  Robert Kiyosaki requested me as a friend!! Amazing. Yes, I’m am sure I am not the only one, but doesn’t it just amaze you that you can connect with just about anyone on Social Media sites.

It would have been hard to imagine being able to chat on the internet with anyone famous a few years ago.  My daughter spoke to Dawn French a few months ago on Twitter! Incredible.  So are you using Social Media in your business? And if not why not?  Robert Kiyosaki is in his 60′s but he is embracing the internet and modern ways of doing business.  He actually asked me to join his fan page, and offered me an ebook he has written for $5 instead of $65.  Well of course I grabbed it; who wouldnt?

Because readers are leaders, and leaders are readers!!

And anything written by Robert Kiyosaki  is outstanding so I cannot wait to read it!

That is definitely the way to get people interested.  Don’t force your business down people’s throats, you will just be avoided as a spammer.  If you give value, you will get people’s interest.

Do you have the right qualities for MLM Leadership?  So many people who start a home business in Network Marketing do not feel ready to be a leader in the industry.  They do not feel they have the right qualities for Leadership.  They may have never been in a management or senior role before and do not feel that they could achieve this goal.  However, leaders are made, not born.  If you want to become a leader you need to DECIDE to decide that you are going to be a leader.

What Can I Do To Become A Leader?

1.  In order to develop these leadership qualities, you need to be taking time out of every day to work on your Personal Development.  You should be reading books each day which will improve your skills, open your mind and help you to develop into the leader which you aspire to become.  Listen to a training webinar or audio recording everyday about some aspect of the industry;  there is not shortage of training material on the internet.

A amazing statistic which illustrates this point is that the average CEO of a company, with an income of over $1 million a year reads about one book a week, all through the year, at a pace of about 15-20 minutes a day.  The average American reads one book a YEAR, at an average salary of $30,000 a year!!

2.  Put into practise what you have learned each day.  Whether this is a new method of marketing to try, or a better way to relate to others, go out and at least start the ball rolling.  Don’t leave it for a month, otherwise you are wasting the training you have done, and you will probably have forgotten what you learned.

3.  Pass on what you have learned.  However you do it, by email, video, article or other method, teach people what you have learned.  The best way for you to digest what you have learned is to teach it to someone else.  In this way people will see you as valuable, because you are always teaching what you know.

4.  Believe in the people who are in your team.  You may have to have more belief in them than they do themselves, to start with.  If you show them that you believe they can do what is necessary, they may start to trust themselves.

5.  Motivate your team.  Encourage them to work towards success.  Share good news with them and your excitement for their successes.

6.  Put them on the tracks to success by showing them a system they can follow in order to achieve success.  Then stand back and allow them to work on that success.

7.  Spend the majority of your time with the ones who are working hardest.  Understand that you will always get people who, although they seem to have the right levels of enthusiasm, will do little or nothing.

8.  Study, and Teach!

9.  Study more, and Teach more!

Remember, no-one can decide when you have become a leader, but YOU!

If you are in a Network Marketing business, are you still focusing on your warm market ?  Chasing  your family and friends and discovering that they do not actually want to join you?  That they do not share you dreams and desires?   This has been the normal way to begin a Network Marketing business for many years.  However in the 21st Century, cold market is becoming more and more important.

Cold market prospects are not tied to you in any way, they have never met you before.  When they come online they are looking for certain things and  can now ‘shop around’ to find a leader who they believe can help them.  This means that they may not join you, even if they like your opportunity; they may prefer someone else. People are interested in YOU and what you can do for them, so it is not necessary to sell your Network Marketing opportunity to them.

They are generally  looking for several  things:

a) A Leader

b) Training

c) A Marketing System

d) A Good Team

 And this is where you can help them.  If you are positioned online as a leader, you can offer them the training and the system they require and show them that you are building a strong and successful  team.  97% of Network Marketers fail, so if you can address the main reasons that they fail, you will be helping to improve this percentage.  These are the two main reasons for failure:

1)  Lack of leads to talk to

2)  Lack of cashflow for marketing

Lack of Leads

Family and friends are no longer  enough, the new Network Marketer  has to learn marketing.  Internet Marketing is cheaper,  much faster and you can reach a global market.   People who have started a Network Marketing business in every corner of the world are reaching out to find the answers to their problems on the internet.   Even if they still want to do some marketing offline, it is possible to reach some local people online and arrange to meet them.

Lack of Cash

You cannot make alot of money upfront in MLM.  80% of the payout in Network Marketing is residual income, which does not kick in at the beginning.  This is when so many people give up on their business, because they cannot make enough money at the beginning of their MLM career and they cannot afford to continue.  They need to make some money upfront in order to pay for more marketing.

90% of your leads will not join your business.  This means you need to make money from this 90%, otherwise they are being wasted.  This is where a Funded Proposal comes in.  You offer your leads affiliate products, products you do not own, in order to receive a commission on the sale.  These are not just any old products, these are legitimate products to help the lead with their internet business.  You may suggest that they use a certain autoresponder, which is something they must have in order to start internet marketing, and when they decide to purchase this autoresponder, you get paid a percentage of the sale.  This is perfectly acceptable online as the majority of internet marketers will only recommend something which they are using successfully themselves.

So to start using your cold market online, instead of chasing your family and friends, you will need to do three things:

1) Use Attraction Marketing

2) Learn Internet Marketing

3) Apply a Funded Proposal

You can do this your own way, or use a system which is all of these things incorporated in an easily duplicatable system, using your own MLM business as your Primary Business.  This way,  everything is ready for you and you can make a leap forward in your education, instead of ploughing through mounds and mounds of different information to try to find out what you should be doing.

If you wanted to start a home business, you could not go far wrong with MXI Corporation, which markets Xocai (pronounced sho-sigh) Healthy Chocolate.  A billion people eat chocolate everyday, so I guess you have a ready market!  You can guarantee to get more people interested than you would by selling the latest vitamins!  Also the health and wellness and the chocolate industries are touted as being big growth areas over the next few years.

 MXI Corp was set up by Jeanette Brooks and her son Andrew Brooks In June 2005 in the USA and arrived in the UK in January 2009 and is now moving into the rest of Europe. Jeanette used to be involved in low-carb chocolate, marketed under the name Pure De-Lite. They also have a doctor onboard, Dr Steve Warren, who explains all the science behind the healthy chocolate.

Xocai chocolate is said to be made from unprocessed cacao powder and to have no added sugars and bad fats as chocolate confectionary has. Xocai is therefore very good for your health as it contains high levels of antioxidants.  The word ‘Xocai is made up of two parts.  The Xo stands for Xocolatl, an ancient Central American chocolate drink made from raw cacao, and ‘cai’ from the Acai Berry, which again contains high levels of antioxidants.  The antioxidant levels, or their ORAC score (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) has been certified as correct by the Brunswick Laboratories.

 MXI have a binary compensation plan where you need to have two equal legs in order to receive your full entitlement. They have seven different ways for you to get paid, starting with a quickcheck for referring someone to the business and  several different bonuses. The recommended daily intake of Xocai chocolates is 3 square, or chunks, and at $1.50 each portion, I doubt that a great deal of chocolate is going to be sold to customers. The distributors therefore will be buying the majority that is sold.  In the lower stages of the comp plan you need to buy one box a month, and once you reach executive this goes up to two boxes a month.

 The recruiting for the business is done in the usual MLM way, at home parties and meeting at various hotels.  They have regular conference calls.  Each rep pays approximately $40 for a company replicated website and back office, which they can then customise with their own front page.  They are not fully integrated into internet marketing, although you can actually enroll someone online, as well as order chocolate and business tools.

  But if you really intend to succeed in Xocai, you need to learn how to market yourself not your business.  Branding yourself as a leader is the modern way to do MLM, especially on the internet.  If you do not know how to do this online, you need a system to show you exactly what to do, just like all the big leaders do. I actually use MLM Lead System Pro, which is a brandable system to generate leads.  Before that I had no idea how to market myself online.  This is an awesome system and is used by many of the top names, like Brian Fanale and Norbert Orlewicz. to market their businesses.

 It really is a simple decision really, keep on doing what you are doing now if you are getting good results, but if you are not, I would heartily recommend you move onto the internet and learn how to be a leader and get people coming to you!  Now is the time, coming up to the New Year, when we need to make the right decisions for the new decade and move forward, not remain the same.
