to do that you gotta have great information,

if you a dealer get links from distributors,

if you provide a service get content contributors,

it always helps to get links from manufacturers,

your links should always be adding not subtracting,

link quality is better than link quantity,

get valuable links thats a good link policy,

some people swap links I don’t recommend it,

others buy links well I wouldn’t spend it,

keyword stuffing is not a good practice,

if you doing that you’ll get stuck like a cactus,

do it the right way and be enthusiastic,

and over time your results will be fantastic,

pay attention class,

you need to act fast,

make a mad dash to the first instead of last,

take out your competition like trash,

and watch your page rank raise higher than gas…

This weekend just passed I attended the Internet Millionaire’s Summit in London, hosted by George Brown and BA Wealth. For those of you who do not know George, perhaps you know of Google Sniper or Traffic Ultimatum, both of which he wrote.  He is a 19 year old millionaire from England, who left school at 17 and started work moving furniture!!  Fast forward two years and George is living the dream; travelling when he wants, where he wants.

All because of the internet! George is a softly spoken, friendly, likeable 19 year old.  He is just someone who wasn’t happy with what he was doing in life and used the internet to change it.  And by him doing that, he is showing you, me and anyone who has the strength of character to DO something about their life, that it is achievable. Even if you don’t want to be a millionaire, but just want to pay your mortgage or your car payments, this could change your life!

And George wasn’t the youngest at the Summit earning money online.  One 15 year old girl spoke for a few minutes about the blog she had created about homework.  She had incorporated some adverts, and was making some money online!!  Some of these young people are going to be earning more than their mother and father put together, because it is all possible on the internet!!

At the other end of the spectrum, there were a plethora of 50, 60 and even 70 year old men at the Summit, many of whom already had websites up and running and had come to get the knowledge to make more money with them. And some women too!  Not so many for some reason.  Come on ladies, let’s not let the side down.  You can make serious money on the internet.  Just start learning how!  You need to be proactive!  Age, gender, race, religion, profession; none of that matters online.  You are just yourself.

So what have I learned at this Summit?  So much that it is keeping me awake at night! I have learned that it is amazing to go to events!  The people you meet for a start. We met so many friendly, open, excited and optimistic people who were interested in talking to us!

I have learned that it is not about your list, it’s about the relationship you build with your list!  That’s a biggy for me and definitely something I will be spending more time on; putting more of myself into my emails.

I learned that I am doing some things right.  I learned that some things I am doing will just need a tweak!!  And I learned that some ways of driving traffic I thought were useless are in fact incredible!  I also learned that as soon as we know something new on the internet, we should teach it to others!

The speakers were inspirational.  All of them!  From the energising, enthusiastic ‘little Chinese man’ (his words!), Tom Hua, “if a little Chinese man can do it, so can you” to the vivacious, glittery(!) awe-inspiring Donna Fox and every single one in between, they all gave us tremendous value; so much information that we can use immediately to build an income online, so that we can follow in their footsteps!

So would I do it all again? Absolutely!  The long journey by train, the hectic underground, the carrying of suitcases up and down hundreds of steps?  The 3 long days of information cramming; the sore fingers from writing it all down?  The sore behind from sitting for so long; the missed breakfasts?  The utter exhaustion on the return train journey?

Yes, it was all completely worth it; this stuff is life changing!  Thanks so much George Brown!

Wow, I’ve just this morning heard about a new programme which I really think is going to make a BIG difference to lots of Internet Marketers who are out here on the internet trying their best to make some money and not really succeeding!  I definitely know several people who have learned how to market online, but have just not reached that place where they are making enough to give up their day job!

If you are thinking about jumping onboard and running your MLM online, here are several reasons why I believe that is a great idea!

1. You actually can get marketing training on the internet!

When you start a Network Marketing business from home, you are shown by your upline what they do to recruit people into their business. This usually includes showing the business to all your family and friends, posting flyers on cars and stopping people in shopping malls. Unfortunately this only works for a small number of very outgoing, confident people. What you really need is training in MARKETING! Because this business is called Network or Multilevel MARKETING.

2. You really can work this business from home!

Because you are working on your computer on the internet, it really is a ‘work from home business‘. Although you can not just stay behind your computer forever and never go out to meet a single person, you can lay down a very good groundwork for your business on the internet. Even if you only have evenings and weekends, you can set up your presence online, join all the social media sites and slowly start to make a name for yourself.

So if you are stuck at home with young children or for any other reason, working your MLM business from home could be a godsend!

3. Online you make money on the people who do NOT join your business too!!

You see on the internet, when running an MLM business, we use something called a Funded Proposal. This ensures that you can make money sooner rather than later, on anyone who becomes one of your prospects. When someone ‘opts-in’ to your list, ie jumps into your funnel, they receive emails offering them marketing help and advice. If they choose to use this advice and buy the product we have suggested, you make a commission on it. Therefore, even if they do not join your primary business (your mlm) you may still make money from them.

And don’t make the mistake of thinking you are duping these people into buying from you. The tools and resources which you are offering them are quality tools that they will undoubtedly need to market their MLM online. In the long run, if they are serious about building an MLM business on the internet, they need these products.

4. Calling people on the phone is so much easier!

That may sound strange. How can it be easier?? Well on the internet, when we are marketing our MLM business, we do not chase people or ask them to look at our opportunity. THEY COME TO US!! We use something called Attraction Marketing, where we brand ourselves, not our product. Our focus is always on giving value and helping others to succeed in their MLM business, whatever company they are with. We write articles and make videos. We have our photo up on all the social media sites and our blogs and other sites online.

So when someone becomes a lead and we pick up the phone and call them, they often already know our voice from our videos or can picture us from our photo!! And because we have not chased them; indeed they have come to us by signing up on one of our web pages, they actually WANT to talk to us!! Amazing.

When I think back to all the calls I made to people who were absolutely not interested in a home business opportunity!! How desperate I was! And the problem is that when you are desperate, it comes out in your voice. So your prospect often knows that you scared and uncomfortable. Nowadays when I pick up the phone, I know I am speaking to someone who is either already in Network Marketing, or is interested in getting involved! How much better is that??

5. It’s so much more fun!!

When I think back to the old days of running my MLM business off the internet, and remember lots of proscrastination and feelings of dread! I cannot honestly remember enjoying it that much, but I was determined, and that is a strength that you need in MLM. But now I have so much more fun. The people I talk to are so upbeat and optimistic. They all help each other and try to always give value to everyone. So you are working in a much more positive vibe!!

And of course, you can always get up and dance around the room or make yourself another cup of coffee…………..

So you are thinking about bringing your MLM business online? Well maybe I can save you some (well quite alot) of time!  There are two main ways to go about marketing your MLM business on the internet!  The first one is to run yourself ragged trying to find out how to market, where to market and what tools you will need; then trying to set it all up yourself.

The second alternative is to get yourself a system which has everything in place, so that all you have to do is follow the instructions!  Of course, lots of people manage without a system, and if thats how you prefer it, fine!  But for anyone who wants to cut down on the learning curve and all the necessary research then grab yourself a system to follow.  Because marketing your MLM business on the internet is nothing like the things you may have been doing off-line, like stopping strangers in the mall or putting flyers on cars!

A good system needs several things.  It needs basic step-by-step instructions on setting up your marketing system.  The system should show you exactly what tools you need, make recommendations on which is the best one to use and exactly how to set each one up.

It should give you training on all the different aspects of marketing available and keep this training regularly updated.  Internet Marketing is changing constantly, and something that was big six months ago may be going downhill now, so you need a system which is kept up to date. Regular fresh information needs to be available, in the form of webinars or training calls.

The best systems incorporate a funded proposal.  If you are new to internet marketing and do not know what this is, I will explain it briefly for you.  This is a way of offering a low priced product up front to your leads, from which they will get good valuable information, and from which you will make money (in the form of commission) in order that you can afford to pay for any marketing costs you incur in the running of your MLM business.

The system you use should have a great network of help and advice for you to use.  Telephone help, some sort of community network and probably some chat forums are all good ways for you to be able to find help.  Because we all need help at some time; everyone learns at a different pace.  Internet Marketing takes alot of learning, especially for someone like myself who had never done anything more taxing online than a quick look on facebook and the odd email.

So if you want to bring your business onto the internet, great!  Whatever your upline might have told you, it’s a good decision, maybe even a great decision!!  But just make sure you use a quality system.  Make sure you check out who the founders of your system are and check out that they are well known and walking the walk, not just talking the talk!!

This morning I went on Facebook and had a few new friend requests as usual.  I decided to deal them straight away.  I accepted the first two, then looked at the third one, who had written quite alot by Facebook standards.  Wow, it was from Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad amongst other things.  Doesn’t it make you realise the power of Social Media!  Robert Kiyosaki requested me as a friend!! Amazing. Yes, I’m am sure I am not the only one, but doesn’t it just amaze you that you can connect with just about anyone on Social Media sites.

It would have been hard to imagine being able to chat on the internet with anyone famous a few years ago.  My daughter spoke to Dawn French a few months ago on Twitter! Incredible.  So are you using Social Media in your business? And if not why not?  Robert Kiyosaki is in his 60′s but he is embracing the internet and modern ways of doing business.  He actually asked me to join his fan page, and offered me an ebook he has written for $5 instead of $65.  Well of course I grabbed it; who wouldnt?

Because readers are leaders, and leaders are readers!!

And anything written by Robert Kiyosaki  is outstanding so I cannot wait to read it!

So what, I hear you say.  Well what made Robert choose Facebook to spread the word about his new ebook??  Because Facebook is totally FREE!  He knows that because his name is well known he can get extraordinary exposure for this ebook, just by creating a presence on Facebook.  And it WILL go viral.  Because Facebook is the second most visited site on the internet now; everyone reads each others pages and it will spread like wildfire!!

So if you have a business and you are not promoting that business on Facebook, you are missing out on some spectacular, instant free advertising.  More and more internet marketers are jumping onto the bandwagon and advertising their business for free on Facebook.  Start your own group, give away free information, advice or tips on your area of business.  Invite people to join.  Add other people as friends like Robert did.  And just see the results you get back.

But in doing that, don’t force other people to look.  Just a friendly word to them about what you are offering, nothing heavy. That is definitely the way to get people interested.  Don’t force your business down people’s throats, you will just be avoided as a spammer.  If you give value, you will get people’s interest.

This is the fourth in the series of MLM Basics For Marketing Online, and today we are looking into Autoresponders.  If, like me a few months ago, you have not got the foggiest idea what an Autoresponder is, then it is pretty much what it says!  It responds automatically to any requests you get for more information on your business. When you first start out online, and do not know the basics for marketing online, you may not think you need an autoresponder.  But once you start to generate leads on a regular basis, you will not have enough time to send out regular emails to all your prospects.

You would expect to pay about £20 a month for a decent autoresponder.  Much less than that and you would need to check them out fully to find out what you are being offered.  You can also get some free autoresponders, but you will find your emails are more likely advertising them than your business.

An autoresponder is where you begin building your list.  When someone enters their contact details into the form on your capture page or other website page, they are then on your ‘list’.  You can then send them regular newsletters or information on your product or business.  This will be fully automatic and will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  So if someone from the other side of the world fills in their contact details whilst you are asleep, your autoresponder will immediately respond to them, making sure your business online never closes!

If you have good copywriting skills, you can write your own emails.  Otherwise your autoresponder will probably give you some templates or help with constructing some.  If you have signed up with a system such as LeadSystemPro, as I have, you will have ready made emails which you will install into your autoresponder when you set up your system.  This will save your alot of time and effort.  You can, of course, personalise these emails yourself if you want to.

You can also send out extra ‘broadcasts’ whenever you want from your autoresponder.  If you have some new information  that comes to light which you want your list to know about, or you want to give them details of a webinar that is coming up, these broadcasts can be very useful.  It is very simple to do, once you have done a broadcast once or twice.  Some autoresponders also offer you the actual opt-in forms for you to put on your webpages.

An autoresponder is great for building  your credibility to your list.  A prospect generally enters their contact details because you are offering them something they want, such as a free training or more information.  Once they have that, then continue to get mail from you, they begin to trust you and recognise your name.  This may only happen after they have received several emails from you, and especially if you are offering them valuable information on something that interests them.

In effect, as well as saving your bucketloads of time and effort, your autoresponder is also converting your prospects into customers.  A definite neccesity for online marketing, in my opinion!

This tip in the series ‘What are the MLM basics for online marketing’ is all about YOU.  Because when you come online to market your MLM business, you don’t actually market your business, you market YOU. Online we use Attraction Marketing to attract leads to us rather than the outdated methods of contacting our family and friends.  To understand Attraction Marketing, you need to read Mike Dillard’s book ‘Magnetic Sponsoring’.  Mike will explain to you the whole concept of Attraction Marketing, so you can understand how to position yourself.

In learning the MLM basics for online marketing, branding yourself is one of the most important and fundamental things you need to do.  Those who fail to do this and start to pitch their business to everyone they know and plaster pictures of their juice all over will end up with very few friends on the social sites.  People hate being sold to, but they love to buy.  They just want the freedom to choose what they buy.

So forget everything you were taught in the old school of MLM, and start ‘branding yourself’.  This may sound strange or uncomfortable at first; you may want to hide behind your brand.  But eventually you will discover that everyone who is marketing online, irrespective of age or gender is marketing this way.  People buy from people they know, like and trust.  So you need to be seen and you need to connect with people.

The way to do that is to be valuable to people.  Do not try to pitch you business, but instead offer any help you can give.  Try to always give value.  You may worry you have nothing to give, but you give away information.  As you start to learn about marketing on the internet, you share it with others.  This starts to brand you as a leader or a trainer.  It also reinforces what you have just learnt, because you are writing about it or doing a video about it.

You also need to consider your brand when you buy domain names for your websites.  Your main website or capture page is usually something with MLM in it, and is your brand, like mine is PrimeMLMTraffic.  You need to put some thought and perhaps some research into the name, and see what is available.

For your blog, most people use their own name.  This is fine if you have an unusual name, but if your name is more popular, it may not be available.  In this case you would add something to it, such as WhoIs….. or WorkWith….  You need to get your name out there as much as possible, so think about every site (such as Facebook or Twitter) you join and try to incorporate your name in your site name.

All this will help you to begin branding, ‘YOU INC’!

This is Tip 2 in the article series ‘What Are The MLM Basics For Marketing Online’.  The first tip was that you need a system in order to market your business online.  Without a system you would be spending a great deal of time and money trying to work out what to do.  The next MLM Basics For Marketing Online Tip is also a biggy!  Once you have a system in place, you need to get some Training!  This is the biggest problem in Network Marketing.  Although it is called ‘marketing‘, no-one give you any marketing training.  And when you bring your business online, it is all about the marketing.

So where do you go for training?  Well if you took tip number 1, getting a system, you would now have access to training.  Without the system, you could maybe try to find a mentor online who would be willing to give up his time to coach you.  Otherwise you would have to learn from your mistakes, just like a huge number of people do online.  The trouble with this is that you will probably do what you were taught offline and constantly spew out your information about your business.  This is the way the amateur networkers work.  It leads to people removing you from their lists of friends, because they are fed up of being sold to.

Training is hugely important for marketing on the internet. 

If you consider that you would have to be trained for any new job, then it is just the same on the internet.  You are very unlikely to know exactly what to do on your first day online.  Everything you have been taught about the ‘old school’ methods of Network Marketing does NOT work online! On the internet we use Attraction Marketing to generate leads. We do not chase prospects around, we do not cold call anyone and we do not pester people as they go about their work.  Prospects come to us, because they are attracted to us, not the other way round.

The system I use, Lead System Pro, has an unbelievable amount of training in the back office. 

In fact one of the trainings, on Facebook marketing, is so popular that it attracts hundreds of people everyday to find out about our system!  Because marketing on Facebook is so popular, and so many people are joining Facebook everyday, anyone with a business wants to find out how to market there.  The Article Marketing training is also very highly sought after.

As well as trainings on all the social media sites, you will also need training about posting adverts, putting up banner adverts, how to do paid marketing such as pay-per-click and how to actually use Attraction Marketing.  Once you have studied some of the ways to attract leads, you can start to generate leads into your system everyday.  The best thing to do when you are just starting is to learn to master just one or two methods of lead generation.  When you are getting 10-20 leads a day from your efforts, you can continue to do that method, but also get some training on another method and stick at that until you have mastered that one too.

Eventually you will have built up several different ways to attract leads into your business.  But all this takes time.  Do not give up after a month or two, because it does take time to understand marketing online completely.  You may feel that you are doing everything you have been taught, but you are not getting the results you hoped for.  It could just be one little tweak that makes all the difference.  Just go over the training again, and see if you can pick up something you may have missed the first time. 

And then just keep going!
